Corey's story

Corey broke his arm at the end of his 10 th grade year and moved to Ohio.  Next, he was cut from his high school basketball teams in his 11 th grade year (Fairmont) and 12 th grade year (Wayne). 

Still he hosted bball camps with me and told children how they should believe in themselves, hold on to their dreams and always Persevere. 

He never complained.  Now he's living his dream and I'm proud, amazed and grateful.

• Named starting point guard for the 2005-06 Sinclair Community College Men's basketball team.
• Led team in steals.
• Finished the season 11th in the nation for Free Throw Shooting percentage at 85.71 % (National Junior College Athletic Association, Division II men's basketball)
• Named Academic All-star
